Default Rear wheel bearing replacement complete. Now ABS,Brake, and Check 4WD lights are on

2006 GS300 I replaced the rear wheel hug assembly with https://www.1aauto.com/lexus-wheel-b...iABEgJ_UvD_BwE............. after replacing it, the following morning ABS, Brake lights come on. Any ideas what's causing this? The lights come on for a little while then go back off. This morning my Check 4WD light came on for a few minutes and went back out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

When doing wheel work you may inadvertently disturb the ABS system. There is the wire, toothed reluctor wheel and sensor. Does not take much. Often removing a sensor after all those years destroys it. I had an old Lincoln and the wire broke internally, so the light would pop on randomly. All you need sometimes is to move the wire in a direction it never was.

You need some inexpensive scan tool to read codes. You can get techstream but there is also some free app for Toyota that may read ABS, You would certainly need an OBD dongle.

So you are saying I might try moving the sensor in another direction? If that doesnt work then try buying a scan tool to read codes? And should I have disconnected the battery before replacing hub assembly?

Double check everything, wiggle stuff, etc. Did you remove the sensor? It may need to go down another few mm so it can sense the wheel.

Battery won't matter. If the problem is there it will come RIGHT BACK.

I wonder if it got damaged when you replaced the hub. Pull out the sensor, clean it and reinstall it see if that helps. Is there access to it from the back so that you dont take apart the whole hub assembly?

Also theres a small sway bar attachment on the left side suspension make sure that didnt break.

Ok thanks for the advice. I will pull out the sensor and clean it....then reinstall. Not sure if there is access from the back.....but I hope i dont have to take the whole hub assembly apart. I will also check the sway bar attachment . I will let you know my findings tomorrow. Again thanks for the help.

Default Rear wheel bearing

I had the same issue. I changed both rear wheel bearings and the VSC,4wd ,ABS came on so I changed the sensor and bought OEM and it didn’t solve anything so when you find Solution let everyone know and if I figure it out first I’ll let everyone know good luck
