I had a failed inverter that I thought was due to pump malfunction at full throttle switch, and well... it wasn't. That was when I got the car - turns out that whoever changed the oil, didn't fill it to spec. At any rate, opened up the pump, all was fine, didn't change bearings.
That was at ~240k km, I'm at about 275k right now, fluid changed to Amsoil FE ATF at 260k.

The pump was revised around '07... or at least it's a different part number. I still have the bearings just in case

Well the Top Tec aTF 1800 is brown color and right now I have red color inside. I do not think that mixing would be good so I need to buy Toyota WS fluid.

I'm waiting for my sensors, then I can finally repair and get rid of that error.

The color doesn't really matter, to my knowledge.

The best way to compare oils would be detailed virgin oil analysis (VOA).
Since you're reading russian forums, may I point you towards these:
https://www.oil-club.ru/forum/topic/...02305-svezhee/
https://www.oil-club.ru/forum/topic/...toyota-atf-ws/
...well... just pick your results:
https://www.google.com/search?q=toyo...%3Aoil-club.ru

The reason why I was vague about the TopTec earlier was because I couldn't find any analysis of it... or any mention of it, really. I checked the manufacturer's brochure, it said "recommended for Toyota ATF WS"... and that's it. Can't make an informed decision based on that alone. It's your call whether to pour it in.

Good luck!

Bought RAVENOL ATF T-WS LIFETIME

It complies or is the same as Toyota WS by numbers given but it's much cheaper.

Hi

Managed to change the sensors with 3L oil but the problem still persists.

When I put it in reverse, the car dies and puts HYBRID error etc.

When I drive the car only with D and not putting it in R, then everything works. No problems, no errors.

Would the pump be the culprit? Can anyone make the 1000rpm test with Techstream, recird what sound it does and send me it?

One more thing I noticed that when I want to drive above 130km/h, then the car won't allow it and will brake itself down a little bit.

MG2 should be hitting 13000RPM or above at that speed. This probably means that your transmission can't shift. Not sure why reverse would be a problem, though.

Yesterday when I did some test driving, then the car infotainment didn't show any electric moving but the wheels were spinning.

When I looked Techstream, then I saw that the battery cells were still charging but the car wouldn't shoe it in the infotainment.

The only real thing that could be is the auxiliary pump and the bearings....If the pump starts and does 1000rpm, would that indicate that the pump is O.K? I looked the pump connectors, I removed even it and CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM, VSC and so on came on. Maybe you guys are right and the pump is the culprit and it can't produce enough RPM.

I saw that MG2 motor was working fine, everything should be fine....

FYI https://club-lexus.ru/forum/viewtopi...15&per_page=15

If you translate to English you'll understand that he had all the same problems and codes and was still the pump.

I really bought myself a bad car.

The black cover was somewhat bent from one hole side and it really was and still is rusty as you can see in the pictures.

I got it open and it's no good. Oxidation has broken and damaged it. As you can see, the piece where the PCB lies, there should be a inner circle that goes into the black housing. 50% of that side is inside the black housing and the other on the PCB one. Everything has oxidated. I think that someone has opened it sometime and didn't put it nicely together. The middle spinning thing wasn't straight in.

Managed to brake on plug also. Can someone make me a picture how the plug is wired in?

Can you post better pics of what broke? Plug location (there are several plugs on that harness), what's left of it, if the wires just snapped off or the plug broke apart (in which case, I think you might be better off just getting a salvage pump, given the rest of the issues)…?

Hi

Plug didn't come off from pump wires, came off from car wires. Car oil sump has a grey plug (you can see the plug in the picture) and the above one has 2 wires. Red/white and from oil pump wiring there is brown/white.

This scrapyard in texas, has a damaged transmission. They want $195 maybe if you called them or sent them an email, asking them if they can sell just the transmission pump for you and ship it to estonia

The positive thing is that atleast now you know what the issue is and fixing it doesnt look to difficult, all you need is the part
