2006 GS300 won't start
I discovered one morning the car was totally dead. New battery, seems to be sourcing a lot of current. Now still won't start but when the battery is hooked up the dash stays lit. The no GPS console started flashing. I've only owned this car since March of 19. The previous owner installed the battery backwards and the Lexus dealer had to replace the fuse panel to get it working. Any idea's?

Sounds like a bad starter, you can test it with a test light. You will have constant 12v power on the main wire, and you will need to test the signal wire. So jack up the car, remove the plug for the starter signal wire and have someone press the engine start button. If it shows power on the small signal wire and the starter dosent spin over then the starter is bad. If you do not get a power signal then you have some other issue.
Also when replacing the starter, you can buy a used one. Car-part.com or ebay and look for a newer model low mileage 2006-2017 IS250 or IS350. If you do buy new look for a denso brand reman.

Remote start had excessive draw and the battery didn't like it. Removed the remote start and replaced the (new Duracell) battery under warranty. The battery would intermittently short out. Never saw that before.
