Hi All,

I currently have a huge repair bill coming up on the horizon. my right rear shock absorber is leaking on my GS430 with AVS. It is $300 just for the part.

I'm wondering if I can just switch to regular springs from a GS 350 to avoid the headache and get a more simpler and reliable part.

Does anyone know if the parts are interchangeable?

Yes you can. I replaced all four avs shocks on my gs460 with non avs kyb shocks.

rockauto.com sells kyb pretty cheap. You will want the struts for the 2wd, you can keep your old springs they will fit fine, and as snakeo2 suggested it wouldnt bother your avs.
