Sorry to hear that you are still experiencing the problem. May I ask if you replaced only one hub bearing assembly in the rear side, or both? Have you used stethoscope to locate the noise source?

i reread your first post and I definitely remember the similar situation as you explained which was solved by replacing both wheel hub bearing assemblies with new reputable parts (koyo or timken).

Have you also tried to spray wd-40 in the strut bushing area and upper mounts to isolate the sound?

Really hope you find this stubborn noise.

The other common source of clunk noise may be the brake shield which sometimes touches the brake disc. Worth to check the clearance there.

hey there, cant recreate the sound unless its under a load... and already moving at 5mph. the popping is only from the right side. and yes i used timken hub. and brake shield is definitely far away from the rotor. that noise is way different from what im hearing. i really dont know what to think anymore. but its definitely goin to lexus tomorrow as i picked my son up today and want to spend time with him, instead of taking the car apart and not spending time with him lol

Got you. When I had this clunk, I was very sure it was in the one specific corner, however, once we used stethoscope and applied some force on each corner, we heard the noise from the completely opposite corner lol

Again, good luck tomorrow!

Hey everyone!!!! It's been diagnosed and fixed..... You will never believe what it is.. This literally drove me crazy!!!! So.......Drum roll ladies and gents......... It was the suspension... Not any of the parts that went bad or wrong or even yoy would think of..... Get this, they found the absorber actuator, the sensor inside our trunk, on top of the strut that twists on. The two metal clips that hold the sensor on to the strut top had broken/fallen off.... They wanted to charge me $817.64....... Don't do this!!!! Thankfully my buddy who was a tech up there, I asked for him to diag it. He came to me outside and told me an easy fix..... These metal peices that go on this, just tear your trunk apart to find the metal clips, bend them back and superglue if need to be so they wont slip off. PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!!! Arggggggggggggggg I'm so glad this was an easy fix!!!! Fix I wasted alot of time and parts here and there..... But this was definitely overlooked. Please check these actuators before anything!!!!!!!! Hope this helps many!!!

Awesome! Glad to hear that they were able to figure it out, and that’s definitely valuable information to have!

SAMSONN25: i kept my struts but switched to lowering springs (Tanabe NF210s) i wanted to keep my availability to use sport mode switch to tighten up the dampening system when i wanted to. Coilovers would have discontinued that unless i bought the extra adapter module and didnt want to pay an extra $400 ontop of $1300 coilovers lol so i bought all new suspension, oem and of course switched out the springs. MSPEARL95..... TY it was crazy, even the techs at lexus and my buddy who works for them said it was one of the hardest diag they have possibly encountered. took them almost 7 hrs to figure it out lol
