Hi guys, not new to the thread but haven’t been on here in years. Just recently bought a 2006 gs300 ans after a few days the car would cut off mid drive. Wasn’t able to connect a obd reader because the speedometer lights won’t turn on. (I’m guessing they’re all connecting in some way). Any help on how to diagnose this issue. Car won’t start at all now.

I would start at the battery terminals, I would take them apart, even the top nut. Sand it all, inspect them and replace if need be. Also if you ever replaced your starter, maybe they didn't tighten the lug on the main terminal. Maybe its also a bad ground, I would check all of them.
I would rule out the ecu, since you said it sometimes doesnt crank over. The starter is separate from the ecu, so i doubt a scanner will show you anything. Sounds like loose electrical contact somewhere.
