Default Thanks

Thanks for your guys feedback. I’m dropping my car off at the dealer for the fuel delivery pipe recall and was going to go ahead and have them replace my spark plugs while I had my car in there.. I heard it’s a pain to change the headlights on our cars so might just have the dealer take care of these lights as well just so I don’t mess something up even though these labor costs are going to be crazy $$$, got quoted $305 for spark plug change, wondering how much I’ll be in for if they go ahead and replace all my headlight bulbs as well..

When I removed the engine bay side covers, the bulb covers were just right there easily reachable. It didn't seem to be that much a PITA to do. If you want the dealer to do it why not, but it could save you a bit if you do it yourself. Also, I saw they sell the xenon bulb for like $160 and this is what they gonna use if they do the work. The OEM bulb is a standard D4S Philips in the yellow box and it costs $60 on Amazon. I think it's better to buy parts at the dealer as much as possible, even if they cost more, to be sure they passed the best quality controls, but bulbs are one of the exceptions. Genuine ones are the same quality on the Internet. On my side, I will put Philips Extreme Vision gen.2 when I'll replace my headlights, I think they are the best in the business.

I also noticed that the light beam itself doesn't go as wide as stock. It mostly just projects the light straight. The chrome bezel also is very cheap. It feels flimsy and the weather stripping always falls off. I ended up putting the stock chrome bezel back on. As for the DRLs, it still uses the high beams at half the voltage. It uses a completely different bulb(H1) compared to stock (9005). I didn't like the yellow look of the halogens so I put LEDs and wired the lights directly to the battery. If you don't, the lights will flicker like mad. The DRL is basically running at full power and is extremely bright at night. Might even be brighter than my low beams. I used 8000k RCP HIDS as low beams and they surprising match my LED fogs perfectly.

Tried on yellow fog lights.

Very straight forward details brother do you still recommending people to buy this spider headlight, because I’m about to pull the trigger on one of them they run for $550 only !! Thanks
