Default transmission oil change

Hi, everyone! I have 2006 gs 300 with 140 000km( around 90 000 miles) milage. Automatic transmission oil probably hasnt been changed. Should i change it fully with oil filter or partial oil change? Or should i change it at all, because some say it could get worse after change?!? dont have any codes, just feels shifts a bit rough sometimes, works better when cold, when warms up- worse.thanks.

Yes def change it, but use WS world standard oem fluid, do a drain and fill. Do this about 2 times and if you wish 3rd you can do a pan drop and replace the filter. But allow about 5k km in between, and when you first drive after the fluid change make sure to let it warm up and manually shift up and down the gears. Then on your first drive, drive very slowly and allow the fluid to mix with the older. Also when you drain it, with your finger or tissue take a sample as see if the fluid smells burnt and or really black.

But a drain and fill doesnt take much time to do, very easy. Simply raise the car, get a large accurate measuring container. Open the fill nut on the side of the transmission it has a cover over. After you loosen the fill port loosen and drain the transmission fluid. Drain as much as you can in the container, tighten the drain and measure what you drained, then fill new atf with a fluid pump and a hose to the fill.

I would also do the rear diff if its rwd, and if its awd I would do both diffs.

Yes, the threads have the most slickest substance on the planet and even a very small amount of torque is multiplied. A HF inch lb wrench is $15. Good investment here, considering the job is probably $250 at the dealer.

Ya bought mine at Harbor freight for $20 when doing the water pump. Works great and this torque wrench is the one that starts off below 20lb, which our water pump needs since some bolt's spec is as low as 9.8NM or 6.6lbs
