Looks like this is what I need:

I assume I have to remove the door panel from the inside to remove the mirror, right?

I havent replaced one so I dont know if its easier just to peel off the housing or replace the whole mirror entirely with a new/used one.

Well, I tried to pop the mirror out and didn’t have much luck. I titled the mirror all the way up, stuck my fingers behind it at the bottom, and gently pried it forward but couldn’t get the clips to release. Admittedly, I didn’t want to pry too hard because I was afraid of breaking something. It looks like all mirrors are held in place with clips but knowing my luck, the whole assembly would break and then I’d be forced to buy a whole new one.

I ended up buying the housing. It was two pieces and came pre painted. I believe it was $120. I only used the front piece because I have protective film on the back part of my housing. The dealer changed it out for me at no charge.

It was nice of them. And per your suggestion, I gave the tech $50 for helping me out. The last thing I needed was a cracked mirror glass. Not only are those things ridiculously expensive, but I don’t think I’d be able to deal with the mandatory 7 years of bad luck.
