Please HELP
Hello, I have a 2006 Lexus gs430 that is doing some weird things.
1) intermittently doesn't want to start, just put a new battery in
2) master window controls (drivers) will only roll down the driver's window.
Im letting myself believe these could be two separate issues happening simultaneously
Thanks for any help

When its not wanting to start, what exactly is the car doing? Does it atleast try to crank the starter, or nothing at all? Is the key fob battery new?
So at the master drivers door switches, you are not able to roll down any of the other windows at all. Not to be confused with the quick window one touch, where that usually erases after you remove the battery and have to do a re-learn to it and the sunroof.
If its not the one touch issue, then it maybe a bad switch. For that I would start by checking fuses? You can find the switches used on ebay pretty cheap. But before replacing it, I would remove it and take it apart, maybe you just accidentally spilled liquids on it or rain landed on it. Simply taking it apart and cleaning out the contacts may save it.

I had this issue after a battery replacement. Go around the car and with each window, in turn, using the door mounted switch (not the one in the driver's door). Drop the window keep the switch held for 3 seconds in the down position. Raise the window keep the switch in the up position for 3 secs. I did each in turn: driver, rear left, rear right, and then passenger front. I'm not sure that the order matters. But the problem was fixed. Good luck.

I suppose you could test that with the remote opening of the windows if it's a dicky switch? Unsure if a faulty switch could affect the feature though?
