Hey guys, i recently purchased lexus gs 300 2009 aut. trans. (eu model) and im hearing single click sounds from beneath of my car (at least it sounds like it). Its hard to hear it from the inside. It occurs only when pressing gas pedal faster(rarely when going from the stopped car in R or D) while in gear (D and R). Ive heard it also when releasing gas pedal while cruising (50mph). It somehow has a connection to the transmission i guess. The bonus is when i floor the car for like 10s it starts to smell like a burn scent (like burned carbon) nothing terrible. Can anyone tell me if its normal?

It's probably an axle going bad. Lift up the car and check the CV axle boot to see if there are tears. If there are then it must have ruined the axle and you need to replace it. Aftermarket aren't as good as the OEM ones but are a lot cheaper. I have a ripped boot on my driver side axle and luckily I have no clicking so I'm going to replace the boot.
