Default Recalls and GS350 Longevity

Hey guys,
looking at purchasing a 3rd generation GS350, RWD preferably. I know there is a bunch of recalls on them and subsequent warranty extension (to 160K kms I believe).
Did anyone encounter longevity issues with the recalled problem recurring ?
Lexus is typically known for its reliability, but I was surprised to see so many recalls on it.

Its a good thing for recalls that means lexus cares about there image, and customers. To have a company send you a letter warning you a part "may" fail and that they will cover it for free out of warranty. The majority of recalls were for minor issues, other then the valve springs and vvti gear.

These are solid cars! they will last you awhile if you maintain them properly. Oil changes every 3,000-4,000 miles. I would also replace water pump before 90k miles those are known to go out by then. Having a bad water pump can destroy these engines, sadly several members have destroyed their engines from ignoring it. Aisan pumps are like $90 and take 2 hours of labor

Good to know, thanks. Coming from a BMW, I know all about preventative maintenance.
Any other common issues that these cars have ? Is underbody rust common ?

the 07-up gs350 rwd or awd are all stout. Other then the water pumps, and other basic maintenance these cars are way better in reliability vs bmw's

I checked with the dealer. There are no more pending recalls on my car (so all of them have been done), and I don't have any troubles.
