Audio issue
About 4 months ago I had a new battery installed (2010 GS 350) and the audio system went out. Display screen said "audio off". Checked fuses and all looked good. Contacted Lexus and they said it is a dead amp. Not looking at spending $400+ on the amp I went without audio. Driving the car everyday for 4 months without audio and magically, last night, the audio started playing. Played for about 3 to 4 hours. Got in today and again no audio. This time I can change the stations, go to BT but the volume isn't working on the steering wheel or know. Is this in fact a bad amp, or possibly a wiring issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like maybe moisture maybe corroded the plug to the amplifier, I would inspect the wires to it. If they are all good and you still do not get your audio back, and then you can open the amplifier and inspect internally for damages. Maybe also spray some electrical cleaner on the motherboard. Worst case send the amp out to an electrical shop that specializes on repairing these amps.
Is this a mark levinston audio system? if so amp issues are a common problem, if this is not an ML system then you can find non-ML amps pretty cheap, as those almost never go bad.
