Default Driver side cool air, Passenger side warm and hot.

So my GS350 2008 has some issues. So I replaced the thermostat on the weekend. New anti-freeze and its full. I did "burp" all the air from the system twice. I don't think any air is in the heater core. When sitting still or driving for the first 15 - 30 minutes the driver side air is cold. After the engine has warmed to about the first 2 notches on the temp gauge. The passenger side air is very warm (almost hot) with the same gauge reading with the car sitting still, not driving.

After driving for over 15 minutes the driver side is only slightly warm but the passenger side has hot air out.

What I have done so far: I remove the driver side airbag / plastics on the driver side under steering wheel. I checked the gears and actuators as far as changing the air controls for (MIX and MODE) going through the settings. I see the gears move but cant tell if they are moving all the way into position. I did try to remove the lower driver side (Blue) actuator by removing the two screws but the actuator would not come loose. I thought maybe the gears need to be in a cetin position to pull out so I changed modes and mix but cant pull it out to check it.

After an hour of trying to remove it I put everything back. Thought I would ask for any advice about removing the driver side actuators. I am thinking that one of them is not moving all the way to just HOT mix...

Any ideas?

TIA...

-Roger

Sounds like you have an air pocket stuck inside heat core or it is somehow clogged up. I would reverse flush it, similiar to the way in this video.

Instead of dumping all that new coolant you added, I would drain the coolant into a clean bucket and reuse after flushing the heater core. Bleed the system using the burping, and also if the issue is still there you might want to raise the front end of the vehicle to where the coolant infill is the highest, and let the car idle on the front stands and top off after letting it cool down.

Heres a video on how to reverse flush the heater core
