Replacing fog light assembly
#3
When I removed the front bumper, the fog light remained attached to the front bumper. I just had to disconnect the fog light power cable.
Just looked through my old video:
And at 11:55 mark in this video, looks like fog light is snapped in with tabs at around the edges close to the bumper.
This makes sense, since the bumper is thin, there is no way to bolt this on to the bumper.
If you remove front tires and under engine splash shields, and pry back on the wheel area splash guards,
you might have some access to the fog light assembly, although, it might still be difficult to undo the clips with limited view and hand reach.
If you need more room, you should be able to just remove the bolts and plastic retainers on the side and bottom
of the bumper (vs. completely removing it), and then push out the bottom of the bumper forward a bit to make more room
since the bumper is bit flexible rubbery plastic. (Instructions on what to remove where are all captured in above video).
If all else fail, you at least have the instruction to remove front bumper in the video.
Just note that it'll help to have second person, particularly on the reinstall to get the bumper snap back into correct position.
Also, take good pictures on the bottom of the bumper in terms of what parts (bumper vs. undershield) go under or over each other.
I didn't capture this on video, and took me several attempts to find the right way to put the bottom side back in properly.
Also, bolts and plastic retainers size and thickness can vary, so keep an accurate track of what came out of where.
If you don't, it'll get really confusing later.
Did your fog light assembly crack or you are trying to replace with something better?
If you just want to replace the bulb, you can do that without completely removing the bumper.
