Thumbs down 2010 GS Daytime running lights.

I got a 2010 GS350 awd, upgraded to LED daytime running lights/high beam bulbs. I have noticed flickering that you all obviously probably are aware of when you upgrade to LED bulbs. I tried plenty of anti flicker kits, 0 results or a BLASTING high beam brightness as my DRL. I'm aware that I can get an anti flicker kit and add a load resistor to lower the brightness but it's not something that I want to do as I want to keep my lights as close to stock harness, and no extra wiring as possible. Anyone have the most whitest 9005 halogen bulb that I can use as a DRL and high beam? Since I hear that when you take a white halogen bulb and don't use it at full capacity it doesn't stay white I am very afraid of buying a set, it's not white and going through the return processes that I've gone through oh so many times now for the "anti flicker kits" anyone have the magic answer? Thanks.

Generally the magic answer is to turn off the DRL function if you want to run LEDs (this is a customizable setting for US cars using the Techstream software), or to deal with the yellower color of the DRLs. There are apparently some LED kits out there that can deal with the lower voltage DRL setting, but I don't know which specifically, other members might have a better answer there. Might be helpful to know that the DRL functionality is achieved by running the high beams at about half voltage (~6-8v), but there are also separate 194-sized bulbs in the high beam housing. The progression is (assuming the DRL setting is on):

Headlight switch off: DRL function, high beams run at lower voltage. High beam adjacent 194 bulbs off. Low beams (HIDs) off.
Headlight switch in "parking" lights: High beams off. High beam adjacent 194 bulbs on. Low beams off.
Headlight switch in "on" (or auto and it's dark), high beam function not toggled: High beams off. High beam adjacent 194 bulbs on. Low beams on.
Headlight switch in "on" (or auto and it's dark), high beam function toggled: High beams on full voltage. High beam adjacent 194 bulbs on. Low beams on.

Hope this is useful to someone.

When I enable the "parking light" while my Lexus is running it enables the half voltage DRLs, WITH parking light on. If the car is in accessory mode then the parking lights stay on by them self and look amazing. At one point, when I left my car on auto the parking lights would stay enabled by them self again, but one day the half voltage high beam DRLs came on and started flickering. I want to disable the DRLs but techstream costs too much and I'm afraid of the cracked version because of viruses

If you know anybody with Techstream, you can turn off the DRLs completely and not worry about it at all,
And it looks much cleaner at night, without the contrast of HIDs and halogen. See before and after:
