Default 2015 GS350 ML Stereo ASL feature doesn't work at all

Hello all, just got a 2015 Gs350 with ML stereo, I am wondering if the ASL feature ever works in your stereo? I believe mine literally doesn't work at all. I tried to switch the ASL on/off when doing 65mph and the volume of sound made no difference. I also have a 2011 rx350, the ASL works fine even when roll down the window the volume is noticeable becoming higher, the rx350 has the Pioneer Stereo.

Mine's worked not perfectly but I could tell because I turned if off. Does your mic work? I think it uses the same mic for voice commands.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't try the voice command or use the microphone though, may I ask which model year is your car?

it shouldn't change if you toggle it going a steady speed. try turning it on when stopped, then check vs. at highway speed.

I am not sure about this, for the Camry I sold, if I turn off ASL at a higher speed ( higher than 50mph, the volume will drop since the volume compensation is no longer working. I suspected the Mark Levinson Amp doesn't support ASL? Maybe only the base model with Pioneer Headunit and Pioneer Amp the ASL will work.

I have seen some people saying their Toyota's with JBL stereo the ASL also doesn't work. Most of those cars have Pioneer Headunit but Probably JBL amps.

A little update for this. I end up getting a pioneer amp to replace the ML one in trunk, now the ASL feature works as it should.

Do you mean you can just swap mark levinson amp to the basic amp and still works? The speakers are different ohms

Correct, it is pretty plug and play. ML speakers have higher ohms and much higher sensitivity, so if you turn the volume to 10 using the pioneer amp, it is already really loud. the way I fix it was adding power resistors for the speakers. You also need to get a harness and then soldering the resistors inline. Right now my pioneer amp see 12 ohm for each speaker expect the subwoofer and the volume is normal. The last thing is to connect the front dash and rear deck speakers in series since pioneer amp doesn't output signal to the rear deck speakers

Both the ML amp and the base amp are made by Pioneer.
