Default Intrusion alarm in front dome light area?

I was disassembling the front dome light, and noticed there were a couple connectors that were not populated.

Using Google translate, it seems some of them are labeled "intrusion" and "microphone". The "microphone" one is separate from the other microphone used for speech (as that one is populated and connected).

From some quick searching, there seems to have been a glass breakage sensor for the GX and some intrusion sensor and switch for the IS (non US market?).

I'm wondering if there was an option for an intrusion sensor in other markets for the GS?

It looks like this is where they'd go, on either side of the voice microphone (green box at bottom).

My understanding was that there is an extra button to turn off the glass breakage sensor on the JDM models.

Ah nice, thank you for the picture. Seems those two round holes are probably the sensor and mic for intrusion.

You can, but not really viable. All of this ties into the main body ECU and required a specific ECU to get it working properly.

I installed the glass breakage sensor module on my GS. It was a simple install. I just needed to get the sensor in the right place/sensitivity. You do this by locking the car and tapping the window sharply with a key to set it off.

Did you install it in the dome area? Or some other place?

If in the dome area, did you have to make the holes or did you find the plastic face with holes in it?

Some paperwork that came with my 18 GS said it had the glass breakage sensor installed. It said you could test it out by tapping a key on the driver window pretty loudly. I tried many times and harder than I was comfortable with and the alarm never went off so I don't know if it actually had it... but it is a real thing apparently.
