Default Sold My GS Today and Stayed w/ Lex

Bitter sweet day moving on from my 2013 AWD Lux especially because it was / is such a great car, in fact best car I've ever owned.
It ended up with 149K Mi on the clock and was trouble free since owning it.

Pics of it here:
10 YO LEX GS 350

The GS 4rth gen forum is so solid and want to thank peasodos, jgscott, bclexus and especially AJLex19 for their constant help and sharing of knowledge and so many others as well.
My Lexus journey was from ES, to GS350 and to now LS500.

I have been looking for several months and once zeroed in on the LS, the must have features and configuration was AWD, Luxury package, ML Sound, 24 inch HUD and adaptive air suspension which I finally found loaded up with even more. Pretty much everything but the executive package. Car had 1 owner, clean CF and just came off lease.
The only mods I plan on adding is a solid remote start kit and some brighter LEDs for the trunk. Already upgraded to wireless CarPlay using Ottocast U2-X Pro thanks to Nalod's post in the LS500 forum.

Here's a few pics of the new whip......

Ahh man, sorry to see a fellow 13 Lux owner sold it. Moving on.... I love that LS500 you have and I'm sure you will enjoy it even more than the GS based on seeing what other LS500 owners are saying. That LS500 interior is a knock out combo! CONNNNNNGRATAS!!!!!! Enjoy it!

BTW: I have owned 2 LS's of previous years. Every Lexus Guy should experience the LS at some point. It's the Lex of Lex Lexus Car.

@PGA71 sad to see you leave the GS family but an absolute great choice! You and fellow member Nalod are twins if I recall he also has the same color

Love the interior on your new LS. Do you have the massaging driver seat/passenger seat with the lux package? Any plans for tint?

Also, I recall responding to a member on the LS forum about rear spoilers...I think a nice subtle lip spoiler looks good on the LS (e.g. Lexon: https://www.lexon.co.jp/lexus-ls/) but it looks great as-is. Enjoy and Congrats!!

Yes, massaging seats are part of the Luxury package and was a must have for me!

Besides the Luxury package it also came equipped with the Mark Levinson Sound System, 24 inch HUD, adaptive air suspension, upgraded 20 inch Vapor Chrome Rims, A+ Safety System , LED headlamps with AFS, Panorama sun roof, Panoramic view monitor, Premium wood trim and heated wood/leather steering wheel. Pretty much everything but the executive package.
I will seriously consider the lip.
Thanks for all the well wishes!
Here is a copy of the original sticker....

Nice. Out of curiosity how much did you pay? My next car, fully loaded LS 500h. My timeframe 5-7 years for a used 5th gen LS.

47K, or 55% of original MSRP. Same ball park percentage off when I picked up my GS, think I paid 26K vs a 60K MSRP back then.
Also included was CPO with additional 2 year Bumper to Bumper both instances. So very good value from my perspective.

If you buy from dealer, best time is at end of month or better yet end of quarter when they are highly motivated to sell to make quotas.

As for 500h, I would have test drove one, but never had the chance. There was one across the country with most of the goodies I wanted, but sold before I decided to make the trek. The ones I test drove were within 90 miles or less of home.

And @AJLex19 , forgot to answer your tinted window question.....I will think about it, but with integrated power sun shades on rear windshield and rear passenger windows, not sure if I go through with that.

Time to make the donuts

Thanks

Congratulations, you bought a real Lexus.
Not a fake Lexus like our GS’.
Don’t get me wrong, the GS is a nice car but a real Lexus is and always has been the LS.
I absolutely love the latest generation LS and yours is no exception.
I envy you and I’m happy for you! Good luck, I hope it’s just as magnificent or even better than they look.
I dream a little of the LS but in order to get one I’d have to sell off some toys and that’s a complete no-go

Nice! That might be my next car too since they don't make the GS any longer. How does it compare to the GS? I need to get out and drive an LS myself, but wondering your opinion on differences.

Well today is day 2 ownership for me, but I can tell you the car is much roomier especially the seats. Because of it's length it doesn't have as tight turning radius for those U-turn type maneuvers so will need to adjust for that. This is a twin turbo capable of delivering 416 ponies up over 100 from the stock GS, but the car is also heavier. People have complained of the ride comfort with the run flats compared with their previous LS models, but having air suspension and coming from the GS I don't share the same complaint so it is relative.
The car is loaded with many more safety features than my GS had and the wife enjoyed her first ride especially the heated massage.
Happy wife happy life!
