How to troubleshoot key-fob not unlocking driver door?
My daughter's 2015 Lexus GS 350 key fob does not unlock nor lock the driver door. Is this an actuator issue on the driver door? How do I troubleshoot this issue?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Are you able to lock/unlock with the button on the inside door handle?
Also check if they key will unlock the other doors. These cars will unlock from any door as you know.
Isolate the issue to either the actuator or the drivers door handle which unlocks the car.

I can manually lock/unlock from inside the vehicle. The remote and driver side lock/unlock buttons does work on all other three doors just not the driver door.

It sounds like the actuator then. If manual lock/unlock works. But pushing the lock/unlock electronic button doesn't work in locking/unlocking the driver door (but it doesn't lock/unlock the other doors)
And lock/unlock button on the fob doesn't lock/unlock the driver door.
One final thing you could check before buying a new one would be removing the driver door panel and making sure the actuator is getting power when activating it (via lock/unlock).

I bet the motor in the actuator is bad
this is the motor
you can take the actuator apart and replace it
you can buy an OEM actuator
https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...=GRL10L-BEZQHA)
or you can do what I did
they have a guy that replaces the motor in the actuators and comes with a lifetime warranty if it goes out again

This was a big problem back in my 2nd Gen days and didn’t think it carried over to the newer Gen’s but this might be helpful https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...s-working.html
