Arrow Conflicting Oil filter info for 2015 AWD GS350 (heard YZZA5 vs YZZA3, and 6.8Qts?)

I was wondering what're the exact oil filters for the AWD 2015 GS350?

1. From what I researched on the forum, it seems like YZZA5 is for AWD 2015, and YZZA3 is for RWD 2015? Is this right?

2. I read it's 6.8Quarts for the AWD 2015, but when I went to oil filter spot, it ended up being 6.4Quarts... So what's the right amount?

3. Is 16,000km oil change interval OK? With YZZA5 filter and any 0W-20 Oil?

Thank you guys!

-YZZA5 is the correct oil filter for your AWD '15.
-It takes ~6.5 quarts in my experience.
-I've done over 10,000 miles on mobile one synthetic extended performance 0W-20 with no issue on my '13 GS AWD.

I thought they were the same filter except the 5 comes with the plastic drain plug to drain the oil out of the filter housing before you unscrew the entire housing.

@hydrogenfu - THIS will help you...

Engine oil capacity with filter is 6.8 Quarts. Just put in 7 quarts and you're good to go!

It is YZZA5. Watch this video from a fellow CL member who shows you a step-by-step:

Parts are also linked in the description.

@eddie420 - So Eddie, why does the GS 350 AWD with oil filter take a whopping 6.8 quarts of engine oil but the GS 350 RWD with oil filter only takes 6.7 quarts, or about six tablespoons less oil? I need to know the answer because I heard that Lexus is giving away a LFA Nürburgring Package (valued at $1,187,285) with a custom paint job for the correct answer.

Does the
AWD model have a slightly longer engine oil cooler line due to the AWD transaxle?

@charley95 - I find that really strange that your 2018 GS 350 takes only 6 quarts with filter but my 2018 GS 450h takes 6.7 quarts with filter. Even a 2013 GS 350 takes 6.7 quarts with filter. Why only 6 quarts for yours? Strange!

I have no idea BC but it would be interesting to know. Does your owners manual state 6.7 for your 450? I'll have to look it up in mine unless there's a different manual for H cars?!

@charley95 - Yes, Page 473 of my 2018 GS 450h Owners Manual (image below) states 6.7 quarts with filter. I know that my 2013 GS 350 also took 6.7 quarts with filter too.

And, why would your 2018 GS 350 Owners Manual state that the AWD model takes 6.8 quarts with filter but a 2WD (a.k.a. RWD) only takes 6.0 quarts with filter. That's almost a full quart difference! Strange indeed...

Your H car has a different manual, mine just covers 350,300 & F cars only.

Yes, of course - I'm aware that my 2018 GS 450h Owners Manual is different than your 2018 GS 350 Owners Manual. However, as I have said in a previous post, my 2013 GS 350 Owners Manual stated 6.7 quarts with filter. Why would your 2018 GS 350 be different at only 6.0 quarts with filter?

Maybe some other 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 GS 350 owners can chime-in with what their Owners Manuals state for engine oil capacity with filter.
