Decided to replace the rear stabilizer links (65k miles) as they were making the known noise over uneven road surface. Got the MOOG K750786.
Upon removing the original links, and comparing to new ones, the mounting bolt on one end of the MOOG was 20mm longer than the original. As a result, couldn’t get the bolt to angle into the mounting hole. I called MOOG and confirmed part number was correct. Anybody have this problem? I had to cut the bolt to make it fit.
If that weren’t enough, after one week of ‘no more clicking sounds’……..they’re all back! MOOG on right.
Oh I wonder if that is the sound I hear when leaving steep sideways at an angle (causing the chasis to flex). I'll have to pay more attention next time to see if it sounds like clicking.
I was going to say it but did not. So Moog use to be very good stuff for a long time. According to many out there they are not such good stuff anyone sadly. This just seems to be a example.
