[QUOTE=Longevite1;11521285]FYI, the sensors from discount tire will work but it only show low pressure sign when the air is low but not give the read out on the dash.
It's happened to me, the fked one up and replaced it with one of their own, after many tries I gave up and brought a set of reconditioned Toyota brand on eBay and Costco helped me to install 2 for the rear, because I wasn't sure which side was bad.

Discount has the correct one they just put the wrong ones on your car.

2013 ES300h here

After 235k my first tpms went

I bought 4 cheap aftermarket ones for $36, but only changed the one that was bad because I did it at the same time I needed to change the tire, not much extra labor.

I have Techstream but couldnt get it programmed that way, connection issue maybe was a cheap VCI connector.

I wound up buying the Autel Maxi TS 501 programmer and did it my self with the relearn procedure.

They do not cone pre programmed, they are either blank and a tool copies the info from the bad sensor to the new one essentially to clone it, that way no ecu programming/rewriting is needed.

Otherwise it can have its own serial # and you need a tool to rewrite the new sensor # and erase the old one to the ecu

^ True. If you have a tool like NT510 advanced scanner or specific TPMS tools, cloning is the easiest way to go.

Got my cable last week. Tried it out on the vehicle and updated a few settings....
Also read the TPMS IDs and it also read code C2121 on Transmitter ID 1. Data List showed pressures but not voltages. Then tried the utility and canceled at register.

Ordered x4 DENSO 5500105 (OE Replacement (Programmed)) OE Manufactured; Programmed
When I get the order in a week, I will try to register.

Assuming you mean the techstream cable. TPMS was part of the reason for getting the cable, so look forward to see how it goes for you.

None of you guys need this TPMS garbage. You can go to Autozone and get a tire pressure instrument for a few bucks and every week or so you can manually check the tires to determine if they need air.

Thanks xjokerz, that is my plan, I actually already have the TPI and put tape across the blasted warning light. My tires are good, have plenty of life in them and air. So that is how I am going to deal with it!
