I have had my 2019 f sport for about a month now. Man do I love this car! I purchased the car at auction and it seems to have worked out with the exception of the wheels. They did not look like shiny chrome in the auction site pics. A slight vibration at around 40 MPH that I thought was a balance problem turned out to be a bent rim. The chrome on one of them seems to be peeling. Can anyone tell me what these rims are?
thoughts on possibly fixing the bent one?
Thanks everyone
Note the peeling area. This is the only marking I can see on them.
Those are definitely the stock '16+ F Sport wheel finished in chrome. There is also a PVD finish in chrome but PVD doesn't peel/pit like that - the peeling looks like traditional chrome. My '01 GS430 had OEM wheels in chrome that over time looked like that due to chemicals from the car washes here in NYC.
I would recommend taking them to a wheel/tire shop and see if they can somehow refinish and straighten. At minimum, they should be able to straighten. Going forward, I would only clean those wheels with soap and water - don't bother when any special chrome finishers/chrome cleaners.

So the consensus is that they are OEM wheels that the owner had painted chrome aftermarket or that the chrome was OEM as well?
There is a shop about an hour from here that says they can probably straighten it for $129.

OEM does not come in chrome. The dealership usually has a set they ship off to have a company chrome plate them.
