2015 GS 350 - Tried to change battery without reading the forum first...
2015 Lexus GS 350
A smarter person would have read the forum first but I thought, I've done it plenty of times before on other cars, how hard could it be?.
Hard enough that my car is locked and every time I connect the negative post to the battery, the alarm goes off and my remotes won't shut it off or unlock the doors. I had the forethought to leave the doors unlocked (but not the windows) but they locked when I put connected the battery and now I'm locked out of my car and the alarm keeps going off whenever I connect the battery. I welcome any solutions to my problem. Thanks in advance...
Also, physical key built into the remote won't unlock the door. Have both remotes. One key turns but nothing happens. Second key doesn't even turn.

The car I have now belonged to my cousin. Battery died so many times and this never happened. We used the physical key when totally dead. However on our aunt's lexus suv this happened when someone connected 24 battery vs 24F (if I remember). Its the same batt with terminals reversed. That is when alarm went off and door acted funny.
Did you verify it was the right one? It is possible the person just gave one from the rack that might have been misplaced and nobody really checked....

Valet key worked for the trunk (but not the driver's side door for some reason). Opened the trunk. Used something to reach through the pass through from the trunk to the back seat to pop one of the back door locks. Then unlocked driver's side door. Had someone start the car the second I connected the negative terminal and all was well. Thanks @surgeon0 for taking the time to read and suggest. Lesson learned, always read the forum first before attempting anything
