In May of 2021, I purchased a 2015 f-sport with ML 40k miles for $29k. I don't think it was the best time or the best price to buy but I needed to make a car change so I did it.

Maybe I should have mentioned - Dealer was asking $22k for my car, then I negotiated down to $20k. I wanted a 2014 for the auto folding mirrors and auto heated seats so I never considered a 2013.
For a 2013 base car with roughly 80k miles, I'd be comfortable paying $19-20k. For an F Sport/Luxury, $21-23k. Curious to hear what others think.
The car market is still weird right now for sure.

Not too late at all, slowly accumulating my ideal buy and not rushing to buy just yet. Thanks for sharing your purchase experience!
I live around Dallas as well, been seeing some as well which surprised me too. See a lot of IS on the road as well but definitely the ES is most common. Makes you wonder when used car prices come down if the GS350 will disproportionally command a higher price.
Sounds like you got a sweet ride, f-sport and mark Levinson is top tier combo. Color of exterior and interior is definitely a big factor, saving a grand or two is great but looking at the car in the driveway and stepping into the right interior is worth it if you are driving the car for years on end.
Were prices starting to shoot up from pandemic when you were looking or did you find one before market went wild? Looking at something similar, expect 2013 and about 20K less miles.

I tend to agree. No connoisseur of stereos but it's not very powerful and I get some vibrations at certain mid-bass frequencies. Definitely sounds clear and crisp but not outstanding IMO.

Looking at listings, there seems to be a big price disparity between the cars below 90k miles and the ones above.

I think it's a lot easier to eat the lost dollars forgoing the "best price" if you have a car that you love that requires little maintenance. The couple thousand will become more and more negligible as the miles and years owned add up

Did a quick Autotrader search in South Florida for 2013-2015 GS 350s and it looks like $20K+ is the price point for clean(er) titles. Almost every GS under $20K has had a accident, from minor to Strutural damage. I think the market is still a little too inflated and there's room to soften substantially more. It boils down to you as the buyer and what you're willing to spend.

IDK? There is a 13 F Sport White with only 39K, clean Carfax, for only $18.5k right now om the FB Lexus classifieds. I tend to look for the lowest miles, clean Carfax, with the lowest price. Later on a year to 2 later I would rather be at 50kish give or take than 100k +. I always believe if you are patience a great deal on a great car comes along.
Many years ago I bought my 13 GS350 Lux with HUD loaded, only 19k miles, for the same price as ones were then selling for with 40 -50K miles plus with not as much equipment.

Those thought are exactly why some people are able to find great deals on cars, and some not. I saw a 13 GS350 AWD with 47k on Cargurs the other day for asking $19. Clean Carfax, but it's gone now because someone was not admit that a owner could not sell that good car for that price. I know a member here who just let their GS F go about 4 months ago for like $12k - $18k less than what they are listed for now with year and miles. They saw another car they wanted so it matter not so much to them to move on and let the GS F go.
I'll let you in on a secret. The ones you see for lets say $20k at a dealer. Guess what they paid for it likely? Also owners go to trade their car's and dealers low ***** them at say $15700. They say no way, I'll sell it private party. They sell it for $18,500. They are happy. Patience, expanding your search area, and knowing a deal if it's what you want. Yes there are scams out there everywhere, always have been. But there are deals out there too. It's all about being in the right place..... at the right time.
