Default Opinions on current and pre-pandemic pricing for 4th gen GS350

Hey everyone, was looking for people's experience buying GS350's before the pandemic, during, and in the past couple months as prices have gotten better.
I've been looking at lots of 2013-14 GS350's, aiming anywhere from 70k-100k miles, base, luxury, and f-sport package.

My budget is probably maxed around $23,000 before taxes. Would love to get a GS350 around 100k miles for $18,000 with the base package, max price would be something like a 2013-14 F-sport package with 70k miles for around $23,000.

Lots of GS350 with around 100k miles in good condition for around $20,000.
Lexus dealership near me has a 2013 GS350 in good condition for $20,900 before tax, 92k miles with premium package with no crazy dealership fees. I've found something similar to that for around $19,000 to $20,000, however the premium of $1-$2,000 buying it from a reputable, well reviewed Lexus dealer that has extensive service records from there and has been detailed by them too.

My question for everyone- if you've bought something similar in this range, what did you pay? (especially pre-pandemic) I'd love to know for example if someone got a 2016 gs350 with let's say 70k miles for $20,000 back in 2019.
Just looking to compile a good understanding of what other's have gotten when prices were better and what I should expect to get for my dollar 😃

Does $20,000 for a 2013 GS350 under 100k miles base/premium sound OK? Will I save a lot or get a newer, better packaged car for the same price in 6 months to a year?

Financially I'm in a perfectly good position and can afford the car. I'm tall and love the spaciousness of the gs350 and as a younger guy I do like corners and going fast, but on rare occasion and prefer to keep my clean driving record more than anything so I think the GS350 is plenty enough in that department.

My stretch budget (just arbitrary budget I suppose) is for a few craigslist F-sport 2014 GS350's that have Mark levinson, and around 60-70,000 miles for around $23-$24,000.

Sorry if this is was too much typing or repetitive, just really excited to get a GS and looking to be a bit more informed before regretting that I may not have gotten enough car for the money.
Thanks (:

EDIT: UPDATE!
Thank you everyone for all of your input on pricing and mileage! I’m not sure where car prices are headed, but in the current market I think I got a good price… 2013 GS350 f sport, 84k miles for $18,750, out the door was $20,241.

Car is in immaculate condition on the interior and was meticulously serviced. Will need new tires on the rear and 2 brake pads soon but I felt the pricing after negotiation reflects that. (front pads are basically brand new)

Got it from a Sewell dealer from Houston and had it shipped down to Dallas which was included in final price.

thanks again everyone! My first big boy car, no more 200k+ mileage 😃😃 Looking forward to babying her and hopefully taking her to 200k+!

I can’t help on the pricing, but IMO try to find some luxury package cars over F Sport, especially if you are looking for MY 2013-2015 where the appearance between base and F Sport is not that different. You still get Sport+ with luxury package, plus a bunch of other cool stuff that doesn’t come with F Sport. Not sure how much of a premium is charged for luxury package vs F Sport but I bet it’s kinda similar.

I bought a 2016 GS350 AWD (non F sport, 50k miles) in October 2022 for $30k.

My 2013 RWD F Sport was $20K with 69000 miles. Bought it in December 2021. I like the look of the F Sport considerably better than the base or luxury and Sport + mode is pretty sharp, but the luxury has great features and costs less to maintain (brakes/tires).

Got my 2016 350 fsport 55k miles late 2020 for 27.5k out the door. I think dealerships were desperate then.

saw a 2016 450h f sport for 48k forgot the mileage that popped up a couple months later and kicked myself for not waiting. Still regret it frlm
this day

Prices are still pretty silly. I would wait until the end of the year if you can. Auto loan rates are through the roof and auto sales are starting to slow because of it.

It doesn't look like it helps with your exact question, but useful to track trends in years. If on mobile, enable desktop view to change date ranges tracked.

I got my 2018 FSport w/ 45k miles for around 36k back in Oct 2022, but I needed a car.

Purchased a 2013 with the premium package in January 2019 with 62K miles for 18K. Traded that in for a 2016 with the lux package that had 15K miles for 31K in June of 2020. The luxury package is well worth it.

@CottageChz I'm a sucker for those red seats, but if I can find a luxury package with that flaxseed brown, that'll be fine by me too! It's tougher to find f-sport or lux package at a competitive price point while insuring meticulous maintenance, but it definitely sounds like it's worth holding out for

@kodude Nice. Do you think you got that 2016 before pandemic pricing really kicked in? 18K for that mileage and the car only being 6 years old at that time sounds like a pretty good deal.

@EAST Thanks! I've looked at it before but I think I had trouble getting data that looked consistent. Went back to the entire indices of used cars tracked and it looks to be more accurate now. Guess it'll be better to wait and pray the old beamer isn't one repair away from a heavily reduced resale price

Just bought my 2014 GS350 F Sport with 103k miles for $20k from an autonation. Jumped on it due to being a 1 owner and regular maintenance the entire time at Lexus dealers, as well as being super clean inside/out.

Yes, I believe I got the 2016 before the pandemic pricing took effect, to me it was too good of a deal to pass up at the time.

In 2019, I got a 2013 GS350 F Sport premium with ML, all maintenance was done exactly on schedule (it went through 2 lease cycles), and at 72K (the mileage I bought it at) the dealer put on new tires, new brakes/rotors all the way around, a new battery, and a full tank of gas. This was $20K, $21.6 with all costs (tax, title...etc).

Wow, nice score!!! I'm surprised I didn't see that pop up on Autonation... was it listed for a while or did you grab it pretty quickly. 1 owner, super cllean and f-sport at that price with that mileage seems like a good $2-4k under current pricing... Thanks for letting me know, definitely gives me motivation to hold out because you got more car for your money. Congrats!
