A/C Delay when starting vehicle
Good afternoon,
I have a 2016 GS-350 F-Sport
I recently had the AC Servo motor replaced by Lexus under a service advisory
Since then I noticed when I start my car , there is a delay with the AC starting
I do not recall it operating like that prior
I called the service consultant at the dealer and he said that is normal when the AC system is set to auto, and if it is on manual it should not happen
Have not tested this yet
Posting here looking for feedback and if anyone is familiar with the issue
Thanks in advance!

what do you mean by delay?
As in when you first turn the car on it takes 10-15 seconds for the blower motor to go full speed?
vs in manual it starts on full speed?
If this is what you're experiencing, it's actually a feature of the car, in auto mode it will not blow full tilt until the air temp from the vent is blowing cool to cold air. takes the compressor about 10-15 seconds.
in manual at startup the fan will blow full.. but that first air is hot.. auto mode skips the hot air part and waits for the cool air to turn the fans up.
This would also indicate the servo's are working and they did the job correct lol

My car functions the same.

The Lexus HVAC logic is supposed to operate the A/C that way - as do all other modern vehicles. It's doing exactly what it's supposed to do!

If you get Carista there is a setting for this. Lets you change the speed the fans ramp up. I think there are three options - slow, medium, fast - and I think medium is the default.

I set it to make it quick, but then I set it back.
manufacturer knows best. The slow speed is better, 1) it helps to not get the moldy smell per the moldy smell tsb. 2) maybe it doesn’t strain the ac blender doors when they open in the begging
