Indicator self cancelling prematurely

Hi all,
I'm having a small but very annoying problem with my 2016 GS300h. There are a couple of elongated roundabouts near my home which require me to reduce right steering input then increase it while indicating left to exit (in the UK). The steering wheel does not pass 0 degrees but nonetheless when I add right steering input the indicator will self cancel.
I've had the suspension aligned and the car tracks straight with the steering wheel straight on a flat road. Nonetheless this behaviour makes me think that the steering angle calibration may be out.
Is this behaviour that others recognise as being normal? If not has anybody tackled this issue before? I have Techstream but I'm not sure where to start with this one.

You have a GS300 - you did not say what year it is. A moderator should move your thread to the 2nd Gen GS or the 3rd Gen GS forum.

Surely only if the steering wheel passes 0 degrees though? I guess more importantly they self cancel on roundabouts where none of my previous cars nor vans that I’ve hired do. I’m fairly sure it’s unusually sensitive, particularly when indicating left.

anecdotal at most but my 2012 gs450h is sensitive like this too. and if you had a sharp angle of steering say 100degrees, coming back to about 20degress the blinker will turn off. like yours mine does not need to go past 0 degrees to turn off. however if the corner is not sharp then it will not turn its self off at 20 degrees.
