Default Strange clunking at idle

So recently this June I've had my car's whole fuel system serviced, and additionally I replaced all the direct injectors. Now fast-forward to now, I recently noticed a strange occurrence while in park idling. The car would idle very smoothly at a little under 1000rpm, maybe 800-900. But randomly it would for a split-second drop to 750-700 and immediately go back up to normal. While the rpm's would drop, there would be a clunk that I confirmed was coming from the engine, actually by the back of the intake pipe all the way in the back of the engine. It also happens, a little more rapidly, in reverse. But not in drive. Some of the service advisors at the dealer think that it isn't misfiring because an engine code would come on guaranteed. Another is saying it could be that the engine is overheating here in the hot weather and the something on the radiator might be broken, which is apparently a known issue with the GS 350's and IS 350's. So far no engine light has come up, but I'm just worried as I've had so much work done on the car already. What do you guys think?

i am not understanding your purpose of posting this vid about cv axle replacement for leaking grease or axle noise has to do with the original posters inquiry over an engine problem while in park and idling. albeit the vid is good and the car nut does a great job explaining cv joint/grease/axle repairs it has nothing to do with an engine clunk complaint.

what was the reason to replacing all the direct injection fuel injectors? those things don't all go bad at one time. its no different than ignition coils, you don't just go replacing all of them. since you did put all 6 direct injection fuel injectors i am assuming you got oem factory parts? is your GS an earlier model version where it only has the direct injectors and it doesn't have the auxiliary intake manifold injectors? the early model engines were notorious for carbon buildup on the intake valves due to the lack of the intake manifold fuel injectors.

the original poster does not have an issue with his cv axle. he has an issue with the engine. how is the video you provided explaining an engine issue? yes, i agree the car nut has great videos and are informative, but you on the other hand, are not understanding what the problem is.
