Check Engine Light and Eco Monitor showing OFF
#16
Current update....
Installed a new OEM Gas cap this morning. Light did not go away immediately...or even after a long drive...makes sense why as it did not go through "2 cycles" as EAST mentioned above.....anywho
Got the codes cleared at Walmart....waiting for a "cylce" to complete as stated above...

Okay so if I am understanding correctly,
Car performs a check after engine is off for 5 hours....
However, if the coolant is (less than or greater than???) 95 F (at time of shut off or at 5hour mark???) then the car will wait another 2 hours before a check....
if the coolant is (less than or greater than???) 95 F (at time of shut off or at 5hour mark???) then the car will wait another 2.5 hours before a check.
@EAST Please specify items in the parentheses

Hopefully the gas cap resolved your issue.

I hope the gas cap resolves your issue, I really do, but I want tell you something. I have seen those 2 codes many times over the years and not one time have I seen a new gas cap fix and clear it for good. I would start to google the different things that others did to resolve it. More common were the Evap hose under the engine not tight or leaking somehow. There are others you can review from Toyota and different model Lexus post also.
If you are not so good at trouble shooting this, maybe you should take it to a dealer, Lex or Toy for a 1 hour diag to pinpoint it.

A few days + a few cycles as mentioned above (the engine is off for 10+ hours) .... and checklight has not returned
Seems that the issue was just a old gas cap....upon futher inspection of the old gas cap, it seemed that something inside of it was broken as you could hear something rattling inside.
The Cruise Control not working and the Eco Monitor not working seem to be some byproduct of the FACT that the check engine light was on....no specific issue regarding those....
Will update as time goes by...
