Want to say I am sorry to see this also, but like PGA71 says glad you are ok. You can always replace a car. Just don't take the 1st total cost offer from State Farm. Ask for about $2.5k - $3k more than they offer and use your GS's condition against those listed for sale. You nor State farm know the true condition of their comp's they are using. Come to think of it, I remember being told when I was in Hi, that the cars in Hi are at a much higher cost.
Your GS still looks clean even in that damaged condition. Care to share what happend? RIP to one less nice GS now.
I think your final decision was a good decision, you only live once so live it to the fullest. If people (Wife/Girlfriend) try to tell you your making a irresponsible decision, to then say "its either the car or them!"....... Do what your heart tells you to do. Im sure she will find another boyfriend or husband, set her free!. While you're cruising the streets in your new GSF!!!!!, the purr of that 5.0L making womens knees shake as you drive by and there boyfriends giving you the side eye internally saying "Thats what a real man looks like!!". Show your EX that she made a real real bad decision, your a Stud and a Stud needs to ride free. A Stud needs a sattle... That saddle is the drivers seat of a GSF!!!. Leave the past and let that 5.0L take you to the FUTURE!! You can do it 👍🏻!!!!! Your nice, Your funny and God Dammit people like you!!!!.
