Hey mate,
Seems like you should be able to get one of those motors pretty cheap, I would replace it. That just seems to be internal wear on the motor, looks like internal magnetic locking? I doubt that these small motors are very serviceable.
The gears look fine. The biggest issue is going to be getting that gear off to put on a new motor without breaking the gear.

Lexus also sell replacement for that called a mirror Actuator. The Dealer just replace it in my GS under ext. service warranty contract. My pass mirror would go up/down, but not left/right. It fixed it.
