Hi Everyone - New owner here, an L Certified 2020 F Sport, 39k, red w/ black interior. My question is about the Lexus extended warranty and if you think it’s worth it for this car? I asked this same question when I bought my 18 RX350 F Sport (I didn’t get the warranty) and it seemed most who answered indicated that the RX was really bullet proof.

I do keep my cars for a while and the dealer quoted me $2k for 3 years, which’d kick in after the the 2 yr L certified warranty expires and thus take me to 2028. Now I haven’t shopped the warranty price around yet but I’d like your thoughts about the need for an extended warranty on this model?

Only possible worry for me would be the servo motor issue but Lexus extended that out to 7yrs, 125k mi.

I can't think of anything else... sunroof seal replacement? -ez DIY and shouldn't be an issue for MY2020 model.

There are Pros and Cons. IMO the right length of time and mileage vs price is worth it. If you are keeping the car.

In your case, 3 years if it only 36k miles = 75k miles. That's a hard pass No for me.

Thanks for the link and I read thru it. Regarding the warranty, if I do it, I was planning on the Lexus VSA (I believe that’s what they call it). I see yours is different. Do you advocate for an outside warranty company or is the Lexus one preferred?
