Default Touch up paint

Hi family.

Polling for suggestions on touch up paint.
How to make sure it’s a good quality and color match.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I have used Dr. Colorchip with excellent results. Great paint color match and levels with the adjacent paint well. For the most part, invisible repair from 3 feet. So far, I have 4 years on the first fix with no degradation.

Start

Dr Colorchip smeared on

Dr Colorchip excess wiped off with included solution 6” from scratch.

Final 2 foot view

it always hurts when damage happens. Dr. Colorchip has many options. Which did you opt for?

Anyone else use a different product?

Whatever paint source you use, when you apply the touch up paint, do it in thin layers. Don't blob it on the scratch/nick. Apply a thin layer, wipe off the excess, let it dry a few hours (or even to next day), apply more layers and build it up to the original paint height.
