Default Change From C to F

I have a 2013 GS 350 purchased in Canada. I've moved to the US, and want to change the climate system from C to F units. But I can't seem to find a setting for this anywhere. Anyone know how to do this? Thx!

I don't think that is a programmable feature. I don't think Lexus allows that to be changed.

It's my understanding that there are other things dedicated to a vehicle that is delivered to a country that is to be used in that particular country - if allowed to be changed would not comply with that country's requirements, so none of them are allowed to be changed. You may want to confirm this with a few Lexus dealerships near the Canadian/U.S. border.

In the Steering wheel button settings you can change some things from US to metric. Maybe it just changes the cluster setting, but will it not carry over to the others? Also will Techstream not let you do that change?

I don't know, Jamie. I can definitely understand why someone moving from Canada to the U.S. or vice-versa would want their controls to display correctly for their country's standards.

You can buy a used USA instrument cluster and have the mileage recoded. This guy can do it:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/233023074684

You can also ask if they can change your existing cluster from C to F.

I wonder if you're able to do it in techstream... I can check I am fairly sure you can change the units. I will check tomorrow morning for you.

That only allows changes from miles to km. The instrument cluster has been changed to MPH, and the temp displays there in F. But in the climate control system it still shows C. Maybe it can be changed with an ODB?

I'm not familiar with Techstream.

@LxLuther - Unless you want to spend a few thousand CAN$ U.S dollars and a whole lot of time changing all sorts of things like the instrument cluster and control modules, I think it's probably best that you keep it as-is and just learn to deal with it...and hope it doesn't drive you absolutely bonkers!

As previously mentioned you would need the US spec body module to change the HVAC display to F. It should be under the dash, near your left leg. There's a few on ebay if you search for 2013 GS350 multiplex for $100-$200. Just swap it in and it should work.
