How to remove old mp3 from hdd
Guys I need your help. Tried to search this forum but couldn’t find any results.
the problem is - I have old mp3 files cached on hdd and after removing them from usb stick the head unit still shows them.
I tried every menu/settings for media playback and didn’t find anything helping me to remove old music.
please help.

It could be that the usb stick has a temp file hidding in one of the folder structures. I would look there.
If you want, you can hold down the radio's power button until the screen reboots. It may flush out whatever temp files are on the headunit.

Thanks, will check that.
what I found so far is that headunit media player not using regular file system, because it sees marked as deleted media files. What I did is - erased the whole usb disk and copied only needed media files, so now headunit doesn’t see old files.
also what I found is the media player doesn’t use file system and play files directly in an order how they were written on usb. But it will sort it by album artist if you use browse mode to select the way how you want to play your music by artist or album.
