Turns out you can adjust the AEC ( acoustic Echo cancellation ) and Noise cancellation for the bluetooth connection. I am going to try this once my car gets back from the shop, new struts, brakes, plugs and plug boots along with front lower control arms bushings.
im going to test now , im sure it works , toyota shares everything across al their cars. Why would they make something unique only for the GS if they didnt have to?
IT WORKED!!!
I set my car at 2100 to help with background noise.
I only wish I could turn up the transmit volume on the mic ( not the gain )
I'll see if I can do that on my phone

This is good news. My wife's hates the echo when I use the in-car Bluetooth calling system. She's got to deal with one of me already, she doesn't need another. Lol!
I'll play with this today myself. The Plantronics Bluetooth of mine is starting to get flaky anyways
So, this is what I settled with. Originally the received voice was around +3 and the sent voice was +1, with the tuning set to 0000.
One point is that you CAN perform the tuning while you're on the phone. Received voice helps also with background noise the other person hears, and sent helps some with clarity and echo. As I have it adjusted now the other side said it sounded "normal" as if I was on my other Bluetooth headsets.
Also, accessing the menu is easy:
With the infotainment powered on, press and hold the Menu button at the mouse, switch the headlights from fully OFF to fully ON 3x. Then the menu will appear.
I'm going to fiddle with it again yesterday I was in a rush.
Man this car just keeps surprising me ? Lexus or any other manufacturer is going to have to really hit it out the park to get me to buy another car, as this is the standard going forward
I tried mine out again with a couple people, and this time while driving and not just sitting in the driveway. Everyone thought it sounded like I was on the phone like anyone else.
Definitely a big help. Thanks for pointing all of this out!
I'm using the same settings in the previous picture I posted.
However, called the wife on the way home on the highway. She complained the sound wasn't the best but I was doing about 75 and around other vehicles. Plus the signal in that area is between towers and usually drops the call when transferred... so I'll try tomorrow from a different section of road.
I did a adjustment that cleared this up a long time ago. I did it by just going into the reg Menu off the mouse menu settings selection in Phone selection. I also did it while on a call. It got rid of just a slight echo completely, reduced all back ground noise and brought up the voice trans volume. I knew about the other setting way but this one worked just fine and still is for years now.
