Thats a WIN, congrats, enjoy it. All you need is a CarPlay module and you're set

those send to be super cheaply made and lag quite a bit

do you have a recommendation on a quality one?

I planned on just using Bluetooth and not really sweating it

I have the Grom, while theres no lag, it does get buggy once in a blue moon. It's not a deal breaker, I wouldn't own this car if I couldn't have CarPlay lol.

+1

Grom albeit not perfect works pretty well and is worth it. CarPlay is a must have in any car IMO.

Unless you want the faster 13 - 15 GS350 that handles better also. Instead of a Luxury car GS350.

Also Congrats to the op becoming new Lexus GS owner! How about a link and/or pics to your new GS?

I don’t really care about those things, plus the difference isn’t that substantial, I prefer the more modern car all day. My 2016 F-Sport is fast enough & handles good enough for daily duty. If I want superior speed & handling I have two garage queens to choose from.

So the 2018 isn't as great of handling as the earlier models?

I pick it up tomorrow or Thursday

They def feel like different cars driving them. I have driven a few diff 13-15, and some 16+ up. The 13 is most unique of the RWD and the AWD as both have a 6 speed Trans vs 8 speed Trans. The 13-15 is also just a tick quicker and more responsive engine wise. The 16+ is more of a Luxury car feel ride, but still handles well. The 13-15 is a little quicker performance wise, and handles more like a BMW sorta. I just replied because he likely did not know, the advantages and disadvantages of both. I have driven a 18 that a member just got about a year ago after his 15 got totaled. He mentioned the same.

The 18 is a Fine car with many advantages over the 13-15 in Tech and other. If you have not driven the 2 diff you would never know any difference. Get that 18, if it checks out and checks all the boxes for you. I'm sure you will love it and never look back. How about a pic or link? Congrats again! There is No bad year GS! Was my point.

I've owned a 15, a 19, and now a 20 GS.

I'll just reiterate what @jgscott said. There are no bad years of the GS.

14-15 F Sports have much heavier and direct steering than 13 and 16+. I've test driven a 13 and the steering was much lighter than my 14, same for the GS F.

I would love a 15 with the tech of a 16+!
