Hi CL family

i was disappointed today when I tried to play a CD. I could hear a whirring sound. It then said check disc.
I tried multiple different discs and resetting the radio.
no luck

i suspect I am SOL but maybe someone has a miracle fix.

I know there used to be "cd player cleaning" kits/discs. Maybe try one of those?

I have not had that problem with my car but with other CD players. It can happen if the lens gets dirty. Or if there is a lens alignment issue.
