phone holder
Really liking my "new to me" GS....except for one thing.....no good place to put my phone. What are people doing. I'm currently stowing it away in the console but that is kinda inconvenient. Sometimes I put it in the cup holder, but that is not satisfying either. Suggestions?

I use the Shapeways. I love it. It does not get in the way of any displays or controls, nor does it attach to anything that could get damaged like a vent or CD. It also stays up high easy to touch and I don't have to look down unsafe and take my eyes completely off the road. Lots of threads on this. Many others choices.

Also, are you broadcasting the hotspot Wi-Fi signal from your phone at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?

@909 - I'm curious, what is the purpose for your phone always broadcasting as a hotspot? Do you have another device such as an iPad that is often used in the car?

I use a holder that mounts in the cup holder that also has a built-in wireless charger. I use a fast charge usb adapter in the cigarette lighter and able to tuck the wire out of the way under the center console. It has a motorized clamp that automatically closes and centers the phone for the wireless changer when you place the phone in the holder and a button to open to remove it. Much easier to use than a spring-loaded holder. The base expands to keep the holder in place. No adhesives nor suction cup. Takes away one of your cup holders but works well.
I've been using this one for last 2 years with a Pixel 6 pro. They also have a vent or dash mount, but I prefer not having anything blocking the vents or adhesives on the dash.

Back in the day, I was glassing 12 inch touchscreens for shows and car meets. Way before Teslas were around.
I try not to actively "watch" YouTube while driving. It's mostly for the passenger. But I'll cycle through music videos with the steering wheel buttons. Google Maps is just easier to read on a big screen. Plus its a touchscreen.
I take a lot of road trips, so I'll throw the entire setup in my boat when I get on the water, or bring it into my cottage when I get there.

I was working on Acura's, ZX's, and had a Supra.
