Hi folks! I’m looking for recommendations on the best. 6k bulbs to replace my oem d4s bulbs in my gs. Not looking for any blue tint, so thinking 6k is the highest I need. My oem bulbs just looks a little yellow. I’ve already sanded and polished my headlights, just need brighter bulbs for better visibility at night. Thanks!

I have had a few different bulbs I tested over the years. The 2 best imo as far as light output for the HID lights on the GS are the newest Phillips GEN 2 and the Osram Night Breaker Laser. I also ran some of the 6k high rated bulbs after reviewing measure light output test.
To me most all of the 6k had a Blue tint. Some ignore the Blue tint and call it White, but none 6k were white to me, they were all Blue. Osram does have some in 6k that are very bright. I saw a big difference in the Osram light output, even more so comparing high beams output.

I haven't personally used them, but there are LED light bulbs that use the existing HID ballast (instead of the car's 12v). Similar to here:
LED may give you some flexibility on color (similar to HID). It may not be the best option if the back of the headlight is fully sealed (because of heat from the LED fan).

Thanks for the info. Those osram seem to be the ticket. Now just need to decide if i want the laser or the cbn/cbi bulbs. Are the lasers more on the yellow side? It's supposed to be brighter than the cbn/cbi but color at 4300k vs 6200k. Decisions decisions.

Thanks, led might not work best with the current setup with how things are watersealed
