I'm excited about this video because its my first attempt recording the exhaust separately with a bumper mounted microphone on the 350. It came out way better than what the gopro captures but I know I can get it MUCH better. I love how well you can hear the mid range rich purring sound...there is a full throttle rip at the end too. Hope you enjoy. Also the only exhaust mod is the Borla axleback. Resolution up to 4k
Sounds mean. Do you have a link to the bumper-mounted mic?
Thanks!! I love how it came out too and I know with some playing around I can improve it more. I'm using a Zoom H4N with a cheap lav mic. For the moment the recorder stays secured in the trunk and the mic was taped to the bumper with a piece of foam covering it.
Thanks for the pic. I have a suction cup mount that I plan to use for the mic; the mount is meant to hold phones but looks like it'll fit.
I got actual windscreen for the mic now, I'm gonna use that and also sandwich the mic between two pieces of foam next time out. Ill turn up the recording volume since its padded more.. hoping that'll clean up the sound some. practice. practice
Suction cup mic is another good way to go. if it fits it fits!! Post some when you do it!
Heres a video of me going down the mountain with the gopro inside the car. Its toned down from the exterior sound, you can hear it but i wouldnt call it loud at all.. and I like it that way. I think since the camera is mounted on the window, its picking up all the vibrations from the road.. the road noise isnt that loud inside the car in real life. The Ferrari driver was gunning it on the straights and braking hard through all the turns
Curious what made you choose the borla over the other exhausts, like tanabe for example?
It seemed like the best quality sound of all that I heard. Tanabe was a little too close to stock, invidia was good, apexi was too loud for me and too expensive.. The borla axleback sounds good and healthy without being too loud at any point and really goes away when just putting around. I also liked the no drone guarantee

Inexperienced driver in the Ferrari. The way he was driving may have been the best thing he could do. Trying to do apex's and turns at speed when you can't drive could end up ugly bad. Is that PC Hwy? I rode a 750 R Ninja Bike on there some years back. Down hill you better know what your doing in something fast. lol!

Youre 100% right ..I believe that, I just wish he would have used a turn out... I had to coast all the turns behind him down almost the entire mountain. Those clips were Angelec Crest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway
