Default No climate control in the back seat

The back seat zone of my 2013 GS350 is cold during the winter and hot during the summer. A few days ago, it was cold outside. The front seats got lots of heat, but the air blowing back from the center console was icy cold. I think it only delivers outside air.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have it in 3-zone mode? You gotta see if it's set to follow the temp setpoints up front or it's got its own set up

I couldn't find this readily available in my owner's manual, but would you share these steps to making sure this is set up correctly? I'm not sure how to get into 3-zone mode, or to get out of there if I'm in it. Thx

I checked. Three zone mode is on.

I cranked up the temperature to 85°F and maxed out the fan speed. There was a trickle of warm air coming out the vent.

If I have 3-zone off, and face/floor or defrost/floor selected, then I get very little airflow from my rear center vents.

If I have it in face-only with 3-zone off I get tons of flow from the vents.

What do you get?

See if your S-Flow button is enabled. If it is, turn it off and report back.

It's the Reverse. When S Flow is ON. It turns off any flow of Air to the rear vents.

It's the Reverse. When S Flow is ON. It turns off any flow of Air at all out of the rear vents.

right, didn’t he say there is no air coming out in the back? I am suggesting that S Flow is on and he doesn’t know, and that turning it off will restore air to the back.

I read the Bold above? This seems to be the same as the Servo problem with some vents blowing cold and some blowing hot.

Yes, but he replied to me that 3-zone was on, and when he turned up the temp in the back:

So now we're on why there's not much air flow, not the temperature issue.

My last suggestion to him was to change the modes to full-face, which should give him more flow to the back.

If that works, then it means everything is working hunky dunky.

Yes I think the op needs to clear up some details of exactly what is going on, and what setting are doing what? I still say Servo, because it's a known problem. It has the problems, that have the vents blow cold when you have heat on, and Heat when you have a/c cool on.

The Blend doors are controlled by the Servo motors. If they are malfunctioning they can - Be in a position to blow different for that vent. They also can malfunction and stay open when they should be closed, or closed when they should be open. That's why I think it Servo's. But.... maybe I am confused about what is actually happening, where, and when?

Does he have a Lux with 3 way? Climate in Rear seats Armrest?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...s-it-work.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...low-issue.html

Manual's explanation:

When the S-FLOW switch is pressed,

the airflow changes as follows.
Without rear air conditioning system:
Air flows to the front seats only.
With rear air conditioning system: Air
flows to the front seats only, and if the
passenger seat is unoccupied, the set
temperature, outside humidity and
temperature inside the cabin are
assessed, and air flows to the driver
seat only.
