Default What is this noise?

I was doing an oil change Saturday, I drove my car on my ramps, popped the hood and I heard a strange sound, almost like beeping or chirping. The car was off when this happened. It continued for about 20 minutes before finally stopping, and I haven't noticed it again since. Anyone have any idea what this might have been and if I should be worried about it?

Attached is a video showing (playing?) the problem.

It might be the EGR value whistling as it purges pressure from the canister.

The last car I'm aware of with that same noise exploded and destroyed 47 other vehicles including a Greyhound bus!

@bclexus , I don't know if you've heard about our insurance problems here in Florida, but if my homeowners insurance doesn't drop me anyway, they definitely will after a claim for a 46 car + Greyhound bus explosion!

Based on what you can hear in the Vid. Sounds to me like a pulley noise or belt noise. Which pulley, I do not know?

You can take a long pipe carefully place on on diff pulleys with your ear on the other end and listen, and see if you hear like a ringing noise. Again be careful and slow if you check with a pipe. A main culprit on the 2GR's is the Idler pulley.

The engine was not running when this noise was happening. Is there anything in the engine bay that moves/adjusts/etc when the engine is off?
