Hey guys, GS350 owner, bought it with a driver's side bulb dying. After it died, I bought an Osram D4S 35W HID bulb to replace it with.
This mornng I got it changed at a Jiffy Lub kind of place (I'm writing from Peru), and worked great., no error lights on the instrument cluster
Drove to my spot in an underground garage, went out of the car to see that everything was ok and saw some smoke INSIDE the headlight that got a new bulb.
I had been driving with the headlights off (the LEDs where on as usual) and turned them on for a minute.
Has anyone have experience with something like this?
I have an appointment with a shop to check on this but it would be great if I could get "straight to the issue" kind of answers.
Already did the serach function but only got posts regarding "smoked" headlights / tailights (big No-No for me).
Thanks!
Javier

Maybe there was something on the bulb? Defective bulb? Either way I would have both bulbs replaced. Are these actually Osram and not counterfeit?

Not really going to be helpful unless you can take a look, but does the light still work, it is just filled with smoke? Would be curious if something touched the bulb and started to melt?

Yes, maybe dirty Jiffy lube technician touched the bulb with his greasy fingers?
