No a friend installed them in his 14. He says they are like 2x's brighter than all other bulbs.

I wouldn’t place a possible heavier LED bulb in place of the HID in a Lexus AFS housing.
Most likely it’s plastic gears inside the housing and heavier bulb = bigger risk of damaging the housing.
Typically I’m not the one who’s against doing modifications but I don’t see the point of this because, at least in my opinion, the stock HID isn’t bad.
I have stock AFS HID on mine and for high beam I have a light bar underneath the license plate.
Suits my needs in the pitch black autumns in Sweden.

The LED bulb is not any heavier that that HID bulb that has that big square metal chip plug in housing behind it. The LED bulb is really way brighter.

In that case no issue then.
usually the LED bulbs are fairly heavy. Atleast the IPF bulbs I have.

Absolutely clear lens is better than our frosted lens but it requires profesional install and is expensive. But even with retrofit, it still uses HID bulb which I think has reach its performance limit. I think you meant you are using Osram CBB as I dont know Osram have CBN bulb. I, too used CBB for both my 3GS and 4GS. it is great and probably the best bulb. But when the LED came out, I decide to give it a try and it is a tad brighter than CBB, just a tad. In return, the LED gave me 2 shadows in front of the car just like any other LED bulb. Fortunately, my LED fog can cover it

In the alley shot, LED low beam only. Captured from driver seat
In the alley shot, LED low beam and white LED fog
LED low beam and yellow LED fog
against the wall, LED low beam only

Hi !

Can you send a photo from the edges of your cutoff line like this? i want to see are they still same as original HID

Can someone who has done this Factory 450h Round Led Headlight upgrade please tell me where the Factory ECU is located? I have the Headlights and a new 450h ECU I need to install in my 13 GS350 Lux. I looked and cannot find where the ECU is located at in the car. Is it under the hood maybe, behind the headlights? I also looked under inside the drivers foot well under the dash. Anyone know?

@jgscott I thought peasodos or someone else has posted the exact location but I can't find any actual pics or references. I'm not 100% but on the pre-refresh I thought it was to the left of the drivers footwell/footrest:

Also this post might be helpful as I think the 13-15 GS headlamp ECU is in a similar spot as the IS F:

So I thought it was somewhere also but I searched and could not find it. If you could not find it, then I know I could not, being you are the expert search Master! lol!

Thanks, I'll look up under there again to the left. I hate bending over the foot well backwards with my back to look under there upside down. So I must have missed it.

I get frustrated when I can't find something (i know where it is in my mind or where I saw it last but can't seem to find it) so I know the feeling lol! That ECU is def. in an awkward spot to retrieve/swap out...

Just stumbled on this - check this post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post11373633

Yes I think that is it. I just did not look good enough. I felt like I was doing the Limbo game with my feet out on the ground and back bent over looking up. Thank you!!!

Dont want to dissapoint you but it may not give you an significant improvement over your CBN. If so, dont blame me, lol.
