Help with Removing Battery - Battery Cover and Cable Clips!*@#!$
I am trying to remove my battery to have replaced. The plastic battery cover must be removed to get to the battery but the cover is attached to a metal "arm" that has two clips on the right side that are attached to cables. I was able to get one of the clips off but the other is a different style and it is killing me (see picture). Does anyone have ANY idea on how to remove the clip that is wrapped around the the two cables in the picture?? I have tried to slide tab out of the clip that is on the metal arm to no avail. I have tried (with screwdriver) to pry open what appears to be the plastic arms that wrap around the cables themselves and still nothing. They are clipped in somehow, but cant find a release point. I have seen others comment about the difficulty but no magic answer. There MUST be a simple answer that I am missing. Any ideas?
Just replaced mine this past summer with no issues. Did you try removing the clamp with the wires as a unit off the metal bracket? I'm pretty sure that's how I removed mine.

if you are referring to the metal tab that is an L shape coming off the plastic cover itself and inserted into the plastic cable piece, yes I tried to pull that tab out but no luck.
THANK YOU! I had seen the IS video earlier in the day but the retaining clip for that one was different from the one I have on my GS. For some reason, I did not come across the GS video in my search earlier. That did it and will be taking the battery for a replacement tomorrow.
Apologies to others for adding a thread that I could have solved with a bit more searching on YouTube but hope this helps someone else.
