I have a 2015 f sport, in sport + mode i hear some sort of metal clanking in higher rpms or while downshifting. The car drives fine under stress free conditions but when i want to really drive it in the mountains, some funky noises come from either the engine bay or trans. Has anyone else had this problem ?

 

It could be your mounts i.e. motor, trans if the bushings are worn. Have you had the vehicle looked at suspension wise?
