Default 2018 GS 350 F Sport Dealer Replaced Shock

Hi, dealer reported that one of my rear shocks was leaking and as a results, both were replaced. After replacement, the suspension feels different - not as buttoned down. It appears that the damping rate of the new shocks are not the same. Will follow-up with the dealer to find out if the correct PN was installed. Also, I do not notice any different with setting to Sport + which is supposed to firm up the damping. Anyone else has a similar experience?

Thank you.

I replaced my Strut with the KYB gas adjust, and installed Swift modified spring. I had to go back and redo this actuator assembly myself. I read that you may also need to do the Yaw and Rake recalibration to complete it also. I did it with a boot copy of TS.

Thanks. I forwarded the procedure to the dealer mechanic. They have had my car for a few days. Hoping they address the problem successfully. They gave me an RX 350 F SPORT AWD. I was not expecting to like it as much as I do. But it is really an impressive effort from Lexus. The steering is excellent, the ride is really smooth - best in class, it feels very maneuverable, corners fairly flat, comfortable seats, great sound (the Mark Levinson is much better than the GS). The 500h - the sportiest version with rear wheel steering - might just be my next vehicle instead of the LC 500. Lexus really hit this one out of the park.

Curious how things turn out for you. I noticed my GS in Sport+ doesn’t firm and tighten up anywhere near as much as my IS did. I don’t drive near as much in Sport+ as I do in Sport but maybe I need to check this adjustment on mine as well.

You really shouldn't have to forward the procedure to a Lexus dealer's mechanic. The technician should be trained and have the manual TIS readily available if needed...

Hopefully they'll get it corrected for you.

Agree. I find this really disappointing and surprising. Just hope they are able to address the issue.

I have a few PDFs of front actuator install/removal, it appears identical. Shoot me a message if you want me to send them your way!

If you can post it here? If the pic is printed it comes out super small print. Some other might need a Print read in the future.

You can always use something like smallPDF.com to convert screenshots into a single PDF file.

So taking 3 screenshots of the file you posted, and loading to smallpdf you get a single file.

Yes thanks, or we could just have someone attach the PDF if they had it.
